New "American Songbook" Program from Ebony & Ivory![]() Dear Presenter, I am pleased to share with you the exciting new
program from Ebony & Ivory called The American
Songbook. I had the immense privilege and pleasure of being
at Tanglewood Productions in Reno, Nevada with them last month,
where they recorded a promo CD of songs from The American
Songbook. Ebony & Ivory recorded four songs from
the program, each unique arrangement a fresh new take on these
wonderful songs we all know and love. The four songs are "It
Don't Mean A Thing, If It Ain't Got That Swing", "Smoke
Gets in Your Eyes", "I Got Rhythm", and "Begin
the Beguine". The full program is an absolute delight and such
an audience-pleaser. The promo CD is on its way to all presenters, but I
wanted to give you a personal heads-up on it and share the
excitement I feel. Ebony & Ivory features Andrew
Gilpin on piano and keyboards (what a great composer/arranger!),
Fred Jacobowitz on clarinets and saxes (that man plays a
great sax, and sounds just like Benny Goodman on the clarinet),
Chris Golden on bass and Gordon Peeke on drums (both
L.A. musicians of the highest calibre). I know that once you hear the promo CD you will be
as enthusiastic as I am and will want to book this program for your
next series. Best wishes, Robert Baird, agent for Ebony &
Ivory American Songbook Promo CDA promo CD of the new Ebony & Ivory
touring program The American Songbook has been sent to
all presenters and you should see it in the mail soon. Play
the first song and you will be hooked. This is beautiful
music in fresh, unique arrangements that cannot fail to leave your
audience happy and smiling. Ebony & Ivory to Participate in New Initiative from Baird ArtistsEbony & Ivory is proud and pleased to
participate in a new initiative from Baird Artists aimed at
providing complete support for presenters who book artists

material for educational handouts, plans for pre-show community
outreach, and various promotional tools to be utilized in
publicizing the artist and increasing attendance at the concert. In
short, BAM! will provide, for each artist on its roster, a
complete after-booking "Support Network" to assist the
