See Ebony & Ivory in Stirling
On Friday, May 2nd at 8:00 p.m., Ebony &
Ivory+2 will be performing at the Stirling Festival Theatre in
Stirling, Ontario (northwest of Belleville). The theatre was built
in 1927 as a community-service building and, in addition to a
436-seat auditorium, included the Police Department and jail cells.
Significant renovations, the dedication of countless volunteers over
the years, and the efforts of renowned director/choreographer
Caroline Smith, have enabled the Stirling Festival Theatre to
become a major Canadian Arts Presenter for the past 10 years. For
this performance, Andrew and Fred will be joined by
George Koller on Bass and Wilson Laurencin on Drums.
Join Ebony & Ivory+2 for Rhythm and
Ragtime. Thanks to Caroline Smith for bringing Ebony
& Ivory+2 to Stirling. Artown in Reno, NevadaOn July 7th of this year, Ebony & Ivory+2
will be performing at the prestigious Artown Festival in Reno,
Nevada. Started in 1996, Artown is an annual arts festival organized
by the Reno city council. The National Endowment of the Arts cites
it as one of the most comprehensive arts festivals nation-wide. More
than 80 organizations and businesses offer about 300 visual,
performing, and humanities events in about 50 locations city-wide,
during the entire month of July. Approximately 285,000 people attend
the festival annually. Ebony & Ivory is proud to be a
part of this major festival. Joining Andrew and Fred will be
Gordon Peeke on drums (from Los Angeles) and Chris
Golden on bass (from Albuquerque). Thanks to Beth
McMillan and Prudence Wildman for arranging this
appearance of Ebony & Ivory at the Artown Festival.
