Georgia Welcomes Return of Ebony & Ivory



October 22nd marked Ebony & Ivory's third performance in Americus, GA for the Georgia Southwestern State University Chamber Concert Series. Thanks to Julie Megginson for inviting the Duo back, and to Julie and husband Sam for hosting a lovely post-concert reception - Andrew and Fred felt right at home.

Idaho Awaits Return of "Ivory"



Soprano Barbara Mantini, accompanied on piano by "Ivory" (Andrew), performed to a capacity crowd in Orofino, ID for the Clearwater Community Concert Association. Thanks to Jeanne and Ric Hood and the many volunteers who made this concert possible, and to the enthusiastic audience, fully 10% of the town's population, who came out to enjoy and applaud these two amazing artists.

Ebony & Ivory will perform in the same series in January, during their Western Tour.

Ebony & Ivory at Ontario Contact



Ontario CONTACT, Canada's largest Provincial Presenters Conference, was held in Mississauga, Ontario (just outside Toronto) from October 17-20. Robert Baird had an extremely busy time at the Conference, talking with Ontario Presenters. The news of the new Ebony & Ivory Tour for 2008-2009, Rhythm and Ragtime, was greeted enthusiastically by Presenters and Robert is now busy following up on contacts made during the event. The Ohio Arts Presenters Network Conference was held in Newark OH from October 21-23. Robert was present to promote the Rhythm and Ragtime Tour and because one of his other groups (Atlanta Gospel Trio D'Vine) was showcasing. There was great interest in Ebony & Ivory, especially following the Rhythm and Ragtime CD Mailing which went out to all Presenters. See below for the list of friends and friends at OAPN.

The North Carolina Presenters Consortium (NCPC) ArtsMarket was held once again in High Point, NC, and Robert was on hand to promote the Rhythm and Ragtime Tour and support one of his other artists (Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards "Guitarist of the Year", Johannes Linstead) who was showcasing.
