Tours for Ebony & Ivory in 2007-2008
Virtually on the heels of their second California
Tour, plans are underway for a third Ebony & Ivory
Western Tour, to take place in January of 2008. Preliminary
indications are that performances will be scheduled in Oregon,
California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. In addition to their
Western Tour, Ebony & Ivory will be performing in the
fall of 2007 in Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Florida and West
Virginia. It promises to be a busy year for Ebony & Ivory
as they tour their new show "Rhythm & Ragtime." More
details to follow. Ebony & Ivory Now Offers Symphonic ProgramsEbony & Ivory is pleased to announce its
two new Symphonic Programs which will be featured at the American
Symphony Orchestra League Conference in Nashville, TN in June. The
two new shows are: Star-Spangled! - A tribute to American
songwriters, Star-Spangled! features popular tunes from the
1920s to the present day. Songs by Cole Porter, George Gershwin,
Leonard Bernstein and Benny Goodman are included in this patriotic
potpourri. Jazzmatazz! - Ebony &
Ivory, backed by bass and drums, front the orchestra in this
exciting tribute to jazz through the years. From the early years of
ragtime through the Big Band era to smooth jazz, Jazzmatazz!
is a toe-tapping treat. Andrew Gilpin ("Ivory") to Accompany Soprano Barbara Mantini in Idaho ConcertAndrew Gilpin ("Ivory") will
travel to Orofino, Idaho in November of this year, to accompany
soprano Barbara Mantini in a concert scheduled with the Clearwater
Community Concert Association. This concert was arranged by
Robert Baird, agent for Ebony & Ivory. Barbara
Mantini is a well-known Canadian soprano who is a member of the very
successful Mantini Sisters vocal trio. The program in Idaho will
consist of Broadway and Show Tunes. Sweet SurpriseIn honour of the "branching out" of
Ebony & Ivory, our Spring Chocolate Mailing will soon be
making its way to your door. As a poet once put it: "Spring has sprung, the leaves is out, I wonder

Guest artists include Dave Weckl and Victor Wooten, and musical styles range from jazz to light classical, ragtime to Benny Goodman, with Klezmer and New Age thrown in for good measure!
