Fred and Andrew, along with Andrew's mother Carol, recently traveled to Pinawa, Manitoba, to present their Christmas Show for the Eastern Manitoba Concert Association (EMCA). The reception they received proved that "Friendly Manitoba" is not just a slogan on a license plate!

From the accommodations, where the Duo was given a key to the front door of the hotel, to the efficiency of getting Ebony & Ivory set up in the venue, to the wonderful pot-luck dinner afterwards, the experience was unfailingly positive.

Ebony & Ivory's Christmas Show performance, which took place at the Pinawa Community Centre, was a hit with the audience. Fred and Andrew played everything from Ave Maria to Frosty the Snowman, as well as some unique Christmas Ragtime, and received enthusiastic applause for their efforts. Their encore, a bittersweet rendition of Auld Lang Syne, was followed by brisk CD sales in the lobby, with the Duo signing autographs and talking to audience members.

Early in the New Year, Ebony & Ivory will embark on their second California Tour. The Tour actually begins in the state of Washington where Ebony & Ivory will perform a Sunday Afternoon Concert at the Raymond Theatre on Jan. 7 and stay at the historic Tokeland Hotel. After a drive down the scenic coast of Oregon and into California, Ebony & Ivory will arrive in San Diego. On Wed., Jan. 10, the Duo will perform an afternoon concert in an assisted living facility in Poway and then, with bassist Chris Golden and drummer Frank Briggs, an evening concert at Poway Center for the Bernardo Concert Association. Then it's back north again for a concert on Sat., Jan. 13 in Ukiah, CA for the Ukiah Concert Association. The next day, Sun., Jan. 14, Ebony & Ivory will perform a benefit concert for the Davis Musical Theatre Company in Davis, CA. Tues., Jan. 16 will be a busy day as the Duo performs two school concerts and an evening concert in Yreka, CA for the Red Scarf Society.

The tour continues into Arizona with a performance in Green Valley, AZ on Thurs., Jan. 18 and then Ebony & Ivory, joined again by Chris and Frank, will end their tour with concerts on Fri. and Sat., Jan. 19 and 20 in St. George, UT in the Celebrity Concerts Series at Dixie State College.

The tour covers four states and lasts 21 days! All Ebony & Ivory fans are invited to attend any of these concerts and meet Andrew and Fred in person.
