Ontario Contact in Sarnia Featured Ebony & Ivory Showcase
Ontario CONTACT, held in Sarnia, ON this year,
featured Ebony & Ivory + 2 showcasing for attending
presenters. The Duo was joined by Tom Hazlitt, Bass and
Wilson Laurencin, Percussion, and performed three numbers to
an enthusiastic and appreciative capacity crowd. Agent/Manager
Robert Baird was on hand to talk to presenters after the
showcase and to introduce the new Ebony & Ivory CD/DVD.
Ebony & Ivory were also presented to the CCI Block
Booking Meeting along with information on the Ebony & Ivory
2007-2008 Christmas Tour. Among the booth visitors and contacts
at the conference were: Brenda Morrow and Pat O'Reilly,
Burlington's Sound of Music Festival; Dee Adrian and Lee
Kools, Capitol Centre; Debbie Slade, Centre for the Arts,

& Ivory, and head of BAM! Baird Artists Management in
Toronto, chaired panels on "Doing Business with Canada" at
three major American conferences this fall: Western Arts Alliance
(WAA), Arts Midwest and Arts Northwest. Positive responses to the
panels were overwhelming. Here are just some of the comments by
participants: "Robert Baird's CD - Phenomenal!", "I
went from knowing nothing about Canada to wanting to work
there!", "Best session of the conference!" Plans are
