New Date on California Tour
A new date has just been added to Ebony &
Ivory's Western Tour: On January 16, 2007, the Duo will perform
at the Yreka Community Theater in Yreka, CA. The concert is being
presented by the Red Scarf Society for the Performing Arts in
Siskiyou County. Just over twenty miles from the California/Oregon
border, Yreka is located in the majestic Shasta Valley, and boasts
magnificent views of the snow-capped Mt. Shasta. Andrew and Fred are looking forward
to this additional stop on their tour of the Western States.
"Canada" Panels a SuccessRobert Baird, agent for Ebony &
Ivory, recently chaired a panel on "Doing Business With
Canada" at both the Western Arts Alliance and Arts Midwest fall
conventions. Robert and guest panellists discussed
opportunities for American artists to perform in Canada,
possibilities for Canadian artists traveling to the U.S., crossing
the border in this post-9/11 climate, and many other issues of
interest to both American and Canadian presenters, agents and
performers. The panels were a hit with attendees, who were also
able to take home a CD containing information on the arts in Canada.
Robert would like to thank the following for
their involvement in the panel: (WAA) Tom Iovanne, Executive
Director, Washington Center for the Performing Arts; Kurt
Bagnell, Manager of Presentations, The Banff Centre; Alpha
Yaya Diallo, Artist; (Arts Midwest) Michael Burgraff,
Managing Director, Fairmont Opera House; Jamie Grant,
Executive Director, The Centre in the Square; Judy Harquail,
Arts Consultant, CCI-Ontario Presenting Network; Michael
Holden, Co-Director, Holden & Arts Associates. Join Robert for another presentation of
"Doing Business With Canada" at Arts Northwest in Boise,
ID: Tuesday, October 24 - 1:30-3:00 p.m. New Ebony & Ivory CD/DVD Featured at WAAThe WAA Conference, held this year in Long Beach,
