Ebony & Ivory Featured in International MusicianA feature article on Ebony & Ivory appears
in the March issue of International Musician, the official journal of
the American Federation of Musicians (Circulation: 100,000+).
Entitled "Making a Perfect Harmony," the article focuses on
the international nature of Ebony & Ivory: Ebony
(Fred Jacobowitz) lives in North Carolina; Ivory
(Andrew Gilpin) lives in Ontario, Canada. In addition, the
article notes that Andrew was completely home-schooled, while
Fred is a double Juilliard graduate. To quote from the
article: "Ebony & Ivory is at the forefront of a new
approach to repertoire and performance known as 'instrumental fusion' . . . and
is in demand for concert series throughout the continental United
States and Canada."

& Lecture Series at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, was
kind enough to write the following letter in response to Ebony
& Ivory's appearance at Baker: "As director of the Baker University Artist
& Lecture Series, I am writing to you to convey my sincerest
thank you! for sending the artists Ebony &
Ivory our way! Each one exhibited amazing skill and
musicianship in their performance and together produced an inspiring
level of artistry. Seldom have I heard such an expressive duo and the
encore number, Summertime, was, without a doubt, one of the
most sensitive and sensuous performances of that song that I have
ever heard! The audience loved them and their music and left the
hall marveling at what they had just seen and heard.
"Thank you, again."
Sincerely, Susan Buehler, Director,
