Ebony & Ivory has been awarded a residency in Louisiana from May 2-10, 2003 under the auspices of the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council. Naomi Cordill, who is Executive Director of the Princess Theatre in Winnsboro, LA, was primarily responsible for this residency. She works closely with Tommy Usrey, Executive Director of the Council, and other Council members, to deal with the myriad details involved.

The residency features Ebony & Ivory in a number of activities on a daily basis: school performances and workshops, evening concerts and cabarets, and a final concert performance with the Shreveport Symphony. Andrew and David are extremely excited at the prospect of sharing their music in a number of different venues in such a short time period. Hats off to Naomi and the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council!

The summer months find Ebony & Ivory preparing for fall events. What better way to usher in the 2002-2003 season than the Ebony & Ivory Fall Mailing? Suffice it to say that it will be witty, humorous and "tasteful!" Look for it in early September.

In addition to booked concerts, the Duo will have a presence at the major arts presenters gatherings to be held later this year. September will find Robert Baird, Agent/Manager, first at Arts Midwest in Columbus, OH, and then at Performing Arts Exchange (the inaugural collaboration of Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation, Northeast Performing Arts Council and Southern Arts Federation) in Atlanta, GA. Ontario CONTACT in Toronto, ON in October, followed (tentatively) by the CINARS conference in November in Montreal, QC, complete a busy and productive fall season, to be sure!
