Here are just some of the performances already lined up for Ebony & Ivory for 2002-2003 . . .
The Centre in the Square, Kitchener, ONThis 2047-seat concert hall is Kitchener's premier live performing arts venue - an acoustical and architectural jewel. General Manager Jamie Grant has developed a unique series entitled ONSTAGE that transforms the performing space into an elegant and intimate cabaret. Patrons will relax at tables with a glass of wine as they sit back and enjoy a typical Ebony & Ivory blockbuster performance. Mary Joy Aitken, Manager of Development and Marketing, has already outlined an impressive array of media support and net-based promotion for this concert. ARCH-Opera, Sandwich, ILThe Opera House of Sandwich, Illinois was built in 1878 and completely restored and renovated in 1986, when it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. (ARCH is an acronym for The Association to Restore City Hall and its Opera House.) Mary Redmon and Paul Gleason attended the Ebony & Ivory concert in Woodstock, IL last year and were so impressed that they urged their committee to invite the Duo for their next season. Manager Sandra Black made the arrangements and the concert is on! Click here to visit the home page of the Sandwich Opera House. Orangeville Opera House, Orangeville, ONThe Orangeville Opera House is home to the Orangeville Concert Association which, for the past 27 years, has presented beautiful music to its audiences. The Opera House was built in 1875 and completely restored and refurbished in 1994. The 2002-2003 season, arranged by Derek Pugsley and the OCA committee, is entitled "Classics to Jazz and Back," and this certainly applies to Ebony & Ivory, whose wonderful mix of repertoire and varied instruments take listeners on a scintillating and ever-changing musical journey! Hornell Area Arts Council, Hornell, NYThe Hornell Area Arts Council began its activities in 1971 and continues to preserve, promote and encourage the creative and cultural arts with its many programs of service and enrichment. Executive Director Renee E. Coombs does a remarkable job of arranging for the several events that take place each year in the Hornell High School. Ebony & Ivory looks forward to this performance and to all of its other upcoming concerts throughout North America.
