Ebony & Ivory Spring Mailing Well-ReceivedThe Ebony & Ivory Spring Mailing has been received with great enthusiasm and enjoyment and has garnered many flattering comments. Here are two typical examples: "The best mailing I've received in 20 years in the business. I throw everything away that I get in the mail - YOURS I kept!" "Thank you for the chocolate; we really enjoyed it. The mailing was very clever." We are pleased that Presenters like our mailings. They are prepared totally in-house and reflect the professionalism, warmth and sense of humour that are hallmarks of Ebony & Ivory. Thank you for your very positive responses. Andrew Gilpin Invited to Ottawa ConcertAndrew Gilpin (the Ivory in Ebony & Ivory) has been invited to Canada's capital city, Ottawa, for a concert by the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir. The Choir's Spring Concert will include a staged version of Andrew's setting for mixed choir of the famous poem by Robert Service, The Shooting of Dan McGrew. Andrew is quite excited at the prospect of being the "composer in the audience" and is looking forward to hearing his composition performed again. It was premiered in Toronto in 1999 by Cantilena, The Theatrical Music Ensemble. Ebony & Ivory 2002-2003 Concert SeasonEbony & Ivory's schedule is filling up! Ebents for this year will include concerts throughout Ontario during the season, a special Christmas appearance, tours of the Northeast in November and March, tours in Ohio and Tennessee beginning in March, and a residency in Louisiana in May. We hope to see old friends and make new ones at these arts presenters gatherings. The responses from our latest mailing are just coming in now and the Ebony & Ivory calendar will be a full one this year! Stay tuned for more details as bookings are confirmed.
