Departure of "Ebony"The dissolution of the original Ebony & Ivory partnership agreement between Andrew Gilpin and Peter Stoll has resulted in Andrew Gilpin's acquiring complete rights to Ebony & Ivory. The following joint press release was agreed to: Andrew Gilpin and Peter Stoll, formerly performing from time to time under the name, Ebony & Ivory, have mutually agreed to dissolve their partnership and to take separate paths in pursuing their musical careers. Andrew will continue to perform under the Ebony & Ivory name and Peter will continue teaching and performing on his clarinet alone and with others. Appointment of new "Ebony"Ebony & Ivory is pleased to announce the appointment of clarinettist David Veilleux as the new "Ebony." David was chosen from an international field of candidates in a search that ranged from Minneapolis to Los Angeles, London, England, New York, and Montreal. Many fine players were auditioned but David's playing and personality were exceptional. A complete biography of David Veilleux can be found on our Who We Are page. Fall MailingSeptember has arrived, and, with it, the fall colours will soon be on display. Autumn colours inspired our fall mailing, so be on the lookout for that familiar small box. At Ebony & Ivory, we "treat" you right! NEPAC UpdateThe Ebony & Ivory preparations for NEPAC are almost complete. Promotional material has been produced in quantity, display material assembled, and giveaway items are ready for presenters. Please plan to visit us at Booth #102 and be sure to mark the Ebony & Ivory SHOWCASE on your calendar: Friday, September 14 at 10:25 a.m. at the HAZLETT THEATRE. Special thanks to Heidi Sharry and Anne Trudo at QTW: Their assistance has been invaluable in our NEPAC preparations. Kirkland Lake PerformanceEbony & Ivory is looking forward to their upcoming concert in November in Kirkland Lake for the Kirkland Lake Arts Council. The Kirkland Lake audience will be treated to a rarity for the duo: A guest clarinettist will be stepping in for David Veilleux. David has a previous commitment: His wife Anne-Marie will be giving birth to their first-born son! Thanks to Nancy Morris for her assistance with the arrangements for this concert.

Guest artists include Dave Weckl and Victor Wooten, and musical styles range from jazz to light classical, ragtime to Benny Goodman, with Klezmer and New Age thrown in for good measure!
