On February 3, the glory of the British Empire was felt once again as Cantilena, with guest artists Ebony & Ivory, presented their British Music Hall Revue. The capacity crowd packed St. Mark's United Church in Scarborough was treated to a wonderful evening of music, with such familiar pieces as There'll Always be an England and Danny Boy.

Andrew Gilpin, Cantilena's long-time accompanist, was pianist for the evening, with Peter Stoll joining him for selections from Ebony & Ivory's full-length show.

Ebony & Ivory is officially announcing its formation to the world! A mailing, consisting of a brochure about the group, a "birth" announcement and a celebratory chocolate cigar, is being sent to arts presenters and V.I.P.'s in Canada and the United States. Arts presenters can request more information, a demo CD, and a Presenter's Kit in order to help them book Ebony & Ivory for their forthcoming season.

A Presenter's Kit, designed to provide arts presenters with "just the facts" about Ebony & Ivory, is now available. It contains complete biographical information on Peter and Andrew, a black & white (what else?) publicity photograph of the duo, as well as media reviews and feedback, a sample programme, technical and stage requirements for the duo, and a copy of their demo CD.
