Robert, Andrew & Fred would like to wish you a Happy New Year! We hope 2009 brings renewed vigor to the arts everywhere, and continued success in all our endeavors.

On Wednesday, February 25, Ebony & Ivory will perform for Southwest Showcase in Deloraine, Manitoba at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place in the Deloraine Winchester Theatre which hosts the Southwest Showcase annual concert series. This is the third tour to Manitoba in as many years for Ebony & Ivory and they are excited to be returning once again. Thanks to Donna Todd and the other volunteers at Southwest Showcase for hosting Ebony & Ivory.

Robert Baird, agent for Ebony & Ivory, is pleased to announce that The American Songbook received a lot of interest at the annual Association of Performing Arts Presenters conference in New York City. Many presenters who visited the booth commented favorably on the frequency of communication from Ebony & Ivory and were interested in pursuing bookings for the 2009-2010 presenting season.

Following the success of his Christmas Ragtime recording, a collection of ragtime arrangements of familiar Christmas carols and songs, "Ivory" (Andrew Gilpin) is planning a subsequent ragtime recording to be released this spring. Christmas Ragtime received airplay on Canada's CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) national radio network and garnered appreciable sales. Look for the debut of the new album and a new website devoted to ragtime (www.ragtime.ca) to be launched this spring as well.
